There are many techniques which can be used in order to create a natural appearance, which is one of the most desired outcomes after breast reconstruction after mastectomy images. Subcutaneous Mastectomy: This is the surgical operation which is made up of the entire mastectomy. The entire mastectomy, or more accurately, the muscle and skin from around the area has to be removed and transferred to the chest region. The surgeon then stitches up the incision, and creates an opening for the new breast implant. Radiographically guided sclerotherapy was one of the earliest breast reconstructive techniques which became widely used to cure breast cancer.
During the surgery, the whole chest area including the muscles and skin is incised, and then stitched up afterwards. A small subcutaneous stent is also created for better aesthetic appearance, with an additional breast reconstruction flap. A bilateral Mastectomy Breast Implantation: The procedure is called bilateral mastectomy breast implantation. Afterward, a thin titanium post is attached to the top breast side by a Y-shaped metal ring. This will be used as the artificial implant.

With this technique, the surgeon creates a metallic opening through which the implants are placed. The Y-shaped ring at the top of the artificial breast helps anchor the titanium post. With this procedure, there is less chance of over stretching the muscles in the breast area during the healing process. It is also easier to create enough room for the implant with the help of the Y-shaped ring.
Lumpectomy: This surgical method has been proven to be effective in breast cancer related surgeries. It is usually performed in cases wherein the tumor mass did not obstruct the natural growth of the breast tissue and there was sufficient space for the implant. This surgical procedure can also be done with localized pain and anesthetic.
Implantation Into Subglandular Muscle Area: The most common incision type in breast reconstruction after mastectomy images is the creation of a subglandular muscle group. This is also known as the inframammary fold or the inframammary crease. With this technique, the surgeon creates a pocket or crease in which the implant can be placed. An inframammary fold can only be created if the patient’s breast has no natural crease above it. Subglandular muscles appear on patients with breast cancer and other diseases that affect the breast tissue as well as the mammary gland.
Single or Multialidotomy: This method of reconstructing the breast can only be done when the patient’s mastectomy was done surgically. During this method, the surgeon removes only one breast, leaving the remaining one intact. The reason for this is to create a symmetrical appearance with the remaining breast. It has also been known to improve breast aesthetics.
