Why Are The Blood Elves Horde

The Warcraft Terms Guide and Database presents a question that many players ask: Why are the Blood Elves in the Horde? First introduced way back in 1994, the Blood Elves are the main antagonists in World of Warcraft. They are the indigenous inhabitants of Kalimdor (the continent ruled by the Orcs). However, they were driven from their homeland and into Azeroth where they established their own empire.

For a game that puts a strong emphasis on the lore behind characters, it’s a little hard to take the Blood Elves seriously. As it turns out, the very reason they were thrown out of Kalimdor is because they were considered too powerful. Their fleet was twice the size of the Alliance’s, and they had advanced technology that the Alliance could not match. So what went wrong? Well, they overran the strategic Azeroth passages, taking over key areas of the world including Stratholme. In fact, they took so much of the magical power of the world that their interference has turned parts of the land into a place called the Storm Peaks.

Not having any answer to the question why are the elves so evil, players have a certain concept of their overall bad-assery. Most Warcraft characters are depicted as being supernaturally beautiful and good-looking. A Blood Elf is no exception. Their race is considered to be stocky and their features are broad with prominent muscles. Most elves are considered to be slim, though.

Blood Elves, however, have a leaner, more muscular appearance. They are known to be fierce fighters, and are depicted as being aggressive, powerful, and greedy. Players who have played the Alliance know this about the elves, and they are also the dominant race during the early stages of the game. The Warcraft Guide: World of Warcraft states that the Alliance race, the Blood Elves, have an almost schizophrenic lifestyle.

From the very beginning, the Alliance race elves were deeply tied to the mystical powers of their world. They were part of the arcane society of Quel’Thalas and were revered as the most intelligent and powerful of the various races present there. They were not, however, immune to the depredations of dark magic. When their elven leaders were put to death at the hands of the Horde, their magical powers waned and they became slaves to the Horde. For this reason, some people have viewed the elves as cursed.

The Alliance, led by Highlord Aviana during the Third War, did away with the elven society and abandoned the once beautiful elven realm of Silvermoon. In the RPG game World of Warcraft, the elven race has appeared again, but this time they are undead and their society has been greatly altered. They are no longer devoted to the upkeep of the mystical world, but instead choose to serve the Horde.

In World of Warcraft, the Blood Elves are considered to be one of the best race for a Warrior because they have extra health, extra stamina, and extra resistance to damage. This makes them ideal for tanking and is why the Blood Elves are considered to be the best race for tanking. However, what makes the Blood Elves so bad is that they have ridiculously high mana costs and their skills involve draining mana rather quickly. The combination of the two means that the Blood Elves are only really good for quick hit and run style combat, where their high damage output comes from skills like Fireball and Frostbolt, and from using the elementals.

In the original WOW game, the Blood Elves were one of the most powerful classes, rivaled only by the Dwarf. In later patches and expansions, they were changed to the tanking type, where they are often used as the primary fighting class. One of the problems with the Blood Elf is that they are considered to be bottom of the food chain in the game, and many other classes are given superior loot than the Blood Elves. Another problem with the Blood Elves is that they can only level with humans, which makes them an inferior choice when it comes to choosing a new character. If you are looking to play a tanky blood elves, the smartest option is to go with a human character, but if you want to play an all around nuker that can deal out some serious damage, then the Blood Elves are not the best choice.
